Masters & Doctoral Programme
 in Humanities and Cultural Studies

Courses: Overview

All students undertaking either the one year Master of Research programme or the first year of the Doctoral programme follow a series of five core courses. These courses are aimed to train students in the nature of multi-disciplinary study and each course provides an opportunity for students to undertake individual research in the form of a 4,000 word essay of their choosing.

Information about the current core courses can be found below.

Alongside these five courses, all students also follow a Research Methods course designed to offer practical training in both undertaking research and analysing and presenting it.

See the individual course listings for further details.
