Internship opportunities at Black Dog Publishing

Black Dog Publishing are an innovative and exciting publishing company that produces titles on art, architecture, design, fashion, film, music and photography.

We are currently looking for interns to work on three of our forthcoming titles Immediate Records, Very Vintage and Fantastic Plastic.

Immediate Records tells the story of one of Britain¹s most prestigious independent record labels Immediate Records. The label epitomises the mod and R&B sound of the 60s and we need an intern to carry out picture research throughout the project.

Very Vintage is a title which celebrates vintage clothes and simultaneously provides an insight into one of fashion¹s current trends and a review of 70 years of fashion history. We are looking for an intern to carry out picture research and write up profiles. A degree in pattern design or general fashion design would be an advantage.

Fantastic Plastic is a volume in which esteemed contemporary designers, artists and scientists explore the evolution of the defining material of the twentieth century. We need an intern to carry out picture research and research profiles. A history in product design-manufacture would be an advantage.

All positions are for 2-3 days a week for three months.
