Room for rent next to Victoria Park, Hackney E9

Entry added: November 29th, 2007 | Posted in Miscellaneous, Noticeboard

A room in my house is becomes free in mid-December.
It’s spacious (18-20m2) and high-ceilinged with a double bed, chest of drawers, mantelpiece and bay windows. There’s a spare wardrobe if you need it, but otherwise plenty of space for any furniture you might need to bring. Rent is only £344/mth (£80/wk) including council tax and utilities. The house is in a Victorian terrace so is very long with a kitchen, dining room, washing room (with washer-dryer), a number of freezers and fridges (one of which is used for photographic/film stock) and summer house in the back garden. (We haven’t yet decided what to do with the summer house so suggestions are welcome.) I graduated from the Consortium last year. Also in the house are two recent Cambridge/SOAS graduates (Jonny and Adam) and a film student (Sarah). We’re all 23-25. It’s a nice house to spend time in, with a lot of books and films. The proximity of Victoria Park, Broadway Market, Columbia Rd, Shoreditch etc are big pluses, as is the transport (the house is 5 min from Homerton overground station, which is now part of the underground network; takes 20 min to get to the British Library on an average day; also direct buses to Liverpool St, 20min, Waterloo, 40min). If you’re interested or know anyone who is, please give me a call: 07854 292717.
