Escape Artists, an arts education and theatre production company, with offices just off Brick Lane in London and also in the heart of Cambridge, seeks an enthusiastic and committed individual to join their small team as an Assistant Director. The post holder will be required to assist the Director of the company in productions.

Duties to include: Assisting the Director of the company, and other employees of the company, in producing and directing company productions. Working alongside the company’s drama practitioners and assist in the delivery of drama workshops and working alongside the company’s Musical Director and assist with the delivery of music workshops. Assisting the company in the creation of accredited drama programmes. Providing reports on the effectiveness of the company’s drama productions and programmes.

Applicants will need to have experience of office work, some form of project management, be competent computer users, have a good telephone manner and an ability to work confidently in a wide variety of settings.

The number of days to be worked each week is not fixed. However, we will expect all applicants to stay with the company for a minimum of 3 months. The internship isunpaid but we do offer travel costs and expenses.
