ICA Exhibitions Department intern

The ICA Exhibitions Department is currently looking to recruit an intern for
a three-month period, for a minimum of 3 days per week, subject to a two-week probationary period. The appointed start date is Thursday, 6 December, 2007.

The internship offers the opportunity to become involved in the day-to-day
running of the curatorial department and to gain a practical working
knowledge of an exhibitions department within a public visual arts organisation.
Duties are varied, but centre on administrative support within the department,
assisting with the planning, production and presentation of ICA exhibitions,
research and development for the future program, compiling and updating project information, maintaining exhibitions databases and archives, and
overseeing travel arrangements for visiting artists and curators.

Applicants should be able to respond to demonstrate computer literacy and
strong administrative and interpersonal skills. They should work well both
in a team and autonomously. An interest in the visual arts and excellent
spoken and written English skills are essential.

Internships are offered on a voluntary basis, however all travel
expenses between zones 1-4 are reimbursed and ICA staff benefits are provided.
