Next academic year (2007 - 08), London South Bank University requires an hourly paid lecturer (HPL) for 3 hours per week in semester 1, for BA course Digital Photography. This would be an ideal temporary post for either a visual arts curator or an experienced practitioner in the field of arts management. Experience of teaching in HE or FE is important, as the post requires strong organizational skills.
The required HPL teaching would be for supervising a Level 3 project. The teaching remit will involve organizing, supporting and supervising the students in the production of an exhibition. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable ability to motivate students to work independently on a project and to supervise all stages of event management.
BA (Hons) Digital Photography is one of 16 courses at the Department of Arts, Media & English. This undergraduate course consists of 50% production units and 50% theory units, whereby critical reflection is an important aspect.
