The Washroom Talks is a series of video recorded discussions about the nature of art. The talks take place inside public or private washrooms in the London area. Every discussion will be thoroughly analysed concluding a statement that is the starting point for the following talk in a different location with different participants.
So far I have had two talks and planning to do the third one in July. The exact date and the location for the next one have not been decided yet.
The participants do not need to have an artistic background. Everyone is welcome. There is no financial payment. I pay everyone with a bar of soap and in return for your participation I will put your details, web links etc on my website.
If you want to participate as a talker or just as a viewer send a brief description of what you do to the following email address: mailto:washroom-talks@hotmail.com. I am also looking for interesting washrooms. If you have one and do not mind me using it for a talk let me know, please.
It is an interesting experience being ‘locked’ inside a toilet with others having to talk about art. There is no table, no chairs; it is just you and four other people.

PS: The talkers are responsible for the course of the discussion. I won’t intervene at all. The only thing I might do is calling somebody on the mobile to tell them to come to an end. I want the talk to be as free as possible even if that means that people leave the territory of art every then and when.
